COVID-19 Information:

  • Luna Wellness Center follows the CDC recommendations and guidelines for Cleaning and Sanitizing Procedures related to preventing disease and spread of COVID-19
  • Masks must be worn by both Massage Therapist and Client at all times.
  • Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is available at the front desk, the restroom and the treatment room.
  • No walk ins are accepted at this time. Appointments must be made online or via phone.
  • Appointments will be staggered to allow for proper cleaning and sanitizing protocols and to avoid crowding in reception area.
  • STANDARD Precautions: Cleaning and Disinfecting Protocol:
  • All surfaces touched are cleaned and disinfected every hour and after every session (door handles, lotion/soap/sanitizer pumps, light switches, pens, clipboards, faucet fixtures, etc.).
  • Laundered clean face rest covers and linens are provided for each client and in each session.

Rights and Responsibilities:

  • Massage therapy provided by Luna Wellness Center is therapeutic in nature. All massage services provided by this practice are non- sexual.
    • No sexual conversation or behavior will be tolerated by either the massage therapist or the client.
    • Any inappropriate words, jokes or suggestions by the client will result in
      • Termination of the massage session.
      • Client is still responsible for the full session fee.
      • Client is banned from the Center
  • Clients should come to their massage therapy session with a clean body for the health and safety of both the client and massage therapist. Client and therapist are expected to practice proper hygiene.
  • Coming to your appointment under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol will not be tolerated. Appointment will be rescheduled.
  • The massage therapist at Luna Wellness will provide prompt, professional service in a clean, private and safe environment.
  • We will never share a client’s personal information with others including nonprofessional staff.

Cancellation and Rescheduling:

  • Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes early for your first appointment. We will utilize this time for you to fill out the Client Information form, Covid Form, and Health History Form.
  • In consideration of our clients’ and therapist’s time, if you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so 24 hours prior to your appointment time.
  • When you book your appointment on line at http://www.lunawellnessctr.com, it will ask for credit card info. Please understand this is only for cancellation or no show protection. The credit card is not charged or stored for payment for the session. It is only charged in the event that you canceled within the 24 hour prior advance period. You can always call the Center and the fee may be waived.

Payments:

  • We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, Google and Apple Pay
  • Payment is required at the time of service.
  • Gratuities/Tips are not included in the price of service and are not expected, but appreciated.
  • A 2 month notice will be given if fees for services change.

Insurance:

  • We do not bill insurance companies for services. We are more than happy to provide you with a receipt and treatment notes that you may use for insurance/FSA/HSA reimbursement.

Draping:

  • Client may undress to their comfort level.
  • All clients will be covered and draped with clean sheets.
  • Only the area being massaged will be undraped.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Licensed in the state of Maryland and Virginia
  • Certified by the NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork)
  • Professional Member of ABMP (Associated Bodyworks & Massage Professionals)
